Basic working principle
Receive data packets: First receive data packets from connected devices.
Analyze data packets: Analyze the MAC address and other information in the data packet to determine the destination address of the data packet.
Forward data packets: Forward data packets to the correct destination port according to the MAC address.
Type
Layer 2 switch: Works at the data link layer, only recognizes MAC addresses, and is mainly used to connect devices in LANs.
