Power over Fiber (PoF) Routers for FTTH and All-Optical Networks

What Is a PoF Router?

The router connects to the upstream optical network and distributes data and power to remote ONUs, optical ceiling APs, cameras, and other compatible terminals. Depending on the network configuration, it can support gigabit-class and higher-speed fiber uplinks while providing stable power output over long-distance fiber-optic hybrid cabling.

In FTTR deployments, the PoF Router can function as an FTTH master unit with PoF, supplying connectivity and centralized power to remote optical access points. In campus, hotel, and commercial networks, it can also operate as a PoF Optical Gateway for centralized control and remote device management.

A complete Power over Fiber solution combines the central PoF Router with remote ONUs and optical ceiling APs to deliver connectivity and power throughout the network.


Centralized Power and PON Distribution
