32G Fibre Channel network is the sixth generation channel technology. In the next 10 years, Fibre Channel will still be the preferred storage protocol for data centers. This article introduces the 32G SFP28 FC multimode optical module and its application in the 32G storage network SAN of the data center.

The 32G SFP28 FC multimode optical module (ES2853X-3LCD01) adopts a hot pluggable SFP28 package and is equipped with an 850nm VCSEL laser and a PIN photodetector. It conforms to the SFP28 MSA and 32G Fibre Channel standards, and is backward compatible with the 8G/16G Fibre Channel standards, with a maximum rate of 28.05Gbps.

The 32G SFP28 FC multimode optical module is a dual fiber LC interface. It can transmit up to 70 meters through the multimode optical fiber OM3 and 100 meters through the multimode optical fiber OM4. The operating temperature range is industrial (- 40 ℃ - 85 ℃) and commercial (0 ℃ - 70 ℃).

The 32G FC Fibre Channel optical module is mainly applied to the Fibre Channel switch in the 32G SAN storage network and the HAB fiber network card. It can realize the interconnection between 32G storage network devices and build a SAN network.

Using SAN storage technology can improve the storage network management mechanism, flexibly manage and online monitor all storage devices, such as disk arrays, tape libraries, etc., and realize LANfree, data transmission, replication, migration, backup, etc. in the SAN storage network at a high speed without occupying the network resources of the WAN/LAN.

SAN technology is oriented to high-speed processing of large capacity data with multiple servers, including high-speed access, safe storage, data sharing, data backup, data migration, disaster recovery and other aspects. It has important practical value for telecom, video, Internet ICP/ISP, petroleum, surveying and mapping, finance, meteorology, library management, military, radio and other industrial applications.
