1. Data center

If the transmitted content is the same, the CPRI protocol has a good effect, but the rate of the optical module should be large enough. If the eCPRI protocol is used, the effect is slightly worse, but the optical module is cheap, and the rate can be low.

Different carriers use different protocols and have different data compression ratios. If CPRI is selected, the distortion is low and the effect is good. However, a higher-rate optical module is required. eCPRI supports a compression ratio of 1:10, and optical modules are relatively cheap. Therefore, 25G optical modules are preferred.
