Taking the 10G SFP+/XFP optical module as an example, when the light module light port and other devices cannot be up, it can be checked from the following five aspects:
The first step is to check whether the rate of the two ports is matched with the dual -work mode -executing the "Show Interface Brief" command for viewing. If it is not matched, the speed and dual -work mode of the port through the Speed command and the duplex command.
Step 2, check whether the speed of the device port is matched with the optical module and the dual -work mode -execute the "Show Interface Brief" command for viewing. If it is not matched, the speed of the port and dual -work mode is configured by the Speed command and the duplex command.
The third step is to check whether the two ports are normal -whether the two ports can be up through the ring back. Use 10G SFP+Port on the single board to use 10G SFP+direct connecting cables (suitable for short -distance connection, or use the SFP+optical module and optical fiber jump line) for interconnection. Check whether the port can be up. If it can be up, it means that it is abnormal to the end mouth; if it cannot be up, it means that the end port is abnormal. You can check whether the fault is resolved by replacing the home -end and pairing port.
The fourth step is to check whether the optical module is normal -mainly to check whether the parameters such as DDM, light power, wavelength, and distance are normal. If it is abnormal, the light module matches the light interface.
DDM information -to check whether the parameters are normal through the "Show Interfaces Transceiver Detail" command, if an alarm occurs, it means that the optical module has a failure or the optical module does not match the type of optical interface.
Light power -whether the optical power meter test side oral receipt of the optical power is within normal range and stability.
Paveout/distance -to check whether the wavelength and distance between the light modules ends at both ends are consistent with the "Show Transceiver Interface" command.
The fifth step is to check whether the optical fiber is normal -for example, the single -mode SFP+optical module with single -mode fiber, multi -mode SFP+optical module with multi -mode fiber, if it is not matched, immediately replace the fiber that matches it.
If you have not found the cause of the light module or solve the problem of the light module in accordance with the above steps, it is recommended that you directly contact the supplier's technicians to seek technical help.
2. The port state is UP, but does not receive or send a message
When the port status is UP, but cannot receive or send a message, a fault investigation is performed from the following three aspects:
The first step is to check the statistics of the port message. Check whether the status of the two -terminal port has always been up, and to detect whether the statistics at both ends are growing.
The second step is to check whether the configuration of the port affects the reception of the message. First check whether the network configuration has been done, check whether the configuration is correct, and delete them all if necessary and then test whether the problem is solved. Secondly, check whether the MTU value of the port is 1500. If it is greater than 1500, the configuration is required.
The third step is to check whether the port and link deadline is normal. Replace the connection port and connect it to other ports to see if there is the same phenomenon. If it still fails, replace the light module.
If the problem of the light module fails after the above steps, it is recommended that you directly contact the supplier's technical personnel.
