Module Description

1. The SFPCombo port (port number 9) and its corresponding 10/100/1000BASE-T Ethernet port (port number 9) are logically optically multiplexed. Users can choose one to use according to their actual networking situation, but the two cannot work simultaneously. Moreover, when both are connected, only the optical port is in an effective working state.

SFP is the abbreviation for SmallForm ActorPluggable, which can be simply understood as an upgraded version of GBIC. The SFP module has a volume reduced by half compared to the GBIC module, and can be configured with more than twice the number of ports on the same panel. The other functions of the SFP module are basically consistent with GBIC. Some switch manufacturers refer to SFP modules as miniaturized GBICs (MINI-GBIC), supporting SX, LX, TX, LH, and running at 1000M.
