The flattening of the network architecture has greatly promoted the development of 100G high-speed interfaces. Many data centers have also upgraded from 25G networks to 100G. However, when high-speed switches are interconnected with low-speed switches, we will encounter the problem of insufficient SFP28 ports. At this time, we can use the CVR-QSFP28-SFP28 conversion module to convert QSFP28 ports to SFP28 ports, and then insert the 25G SFP28 optical module to achieve 25G link transmission. Now let's introduce the CVR-QSFP28-SFP28 conversion module.
The CVR-QSFP28-SFP28 conversion module is simply understood as an interface converter, which can convert the QSFP28 port on the switch to the SFP28 port. It has a QSFP28 interface and a SFP28 slot. Inserting it into the QSFP28 port of a 100G switch can speed down the port with a transmission rate of 100G to 25G. The conversion module is not an optical module. It does not have some parameter information related to the optical module, but only serves as a transfer.
Jumper matching scheme:
At 40G transmission rate:
1. Duplex LC-LC OM3 multimode optical fiber jumper, supporting a maximum transmission distance of 100 meters;
2. Duplex LC-LC OM4 multimode fiber patch cord supports a maximum transmission distance of 150 meters.
At 100G transmission rate:
1. Duplex LC-LC OM3 multimode optical fiber jumper, supporting a maximum transmission distance of 70 meters;
2. Duplex LC-LC OM4 multimode fiber patch cord supports a maximum transmission distance of 100 meters.
