1GE+1FE+1POTS, 1USB XPON ONU

At present, high-rate optical fiber transmission has been widely used in all backbone networks. Ethernet passive optical network (EPON) has become the preferred solution of relevant operators due to its low-cost time-sharing and high performance access for users. With the acceleration of the deployment of 1Gbps optical fiber to the home technology in access networks, Telecom operators and related industry chains have begun to seek new technologies that can meet next-generation optical network applications. 10G-EPON technology is a new technology choice to meet higher bandwidth requirements. 10G-EPON increases the downlink bandwidth of the fiber access network by 10 times (10Gbps) and is compatible with the network protocol and topology of the current 1G EPON scheme.

In the standard definition, 0G-EPON fully considers the coexistence of the network with 1G EPON, and defines two types of modes according to the bandwidth of the uplink and downlink rates, namely, asymmetric mode and symmetric mode. Symmetric mode refers to the working mode in which both the uplink and downlink data are transmitted at a rate of 10 gigabytes. In asymmetric mode, 10 Gbit/s data is transmitted downlink and 1 Gbit/s data is transmitted uplink. The following describes the 10G EPON optical module.

1. 10G SFP+ EPON OLT (10G/1G)

It uses SFP+ package type, SC interface, is a single fiber bidirectional BiDi optical transceiver, up to 20 km transmission range. The 10G bidirectional link is configured with 1270nm/1577nm optical device, and the 1G link is configured with 1310nm/1490nm optical device. The 1270nm and 1310nm light burst mode receivers use APD/TIA optics for maximum sensitivity. The 10G transmitter uses 1577nm EML DFB laser assembly, and the 1G transmitter uses 1490nm DFB laser assembly.

2. 10G SFP+ EPON ONU (10G/1G)

It is an SFP+ package type, SC interface, single-fiber bidirectional BiDi optical transceiver with a maximum transmission range of up to 20 km and is designed for low-cost point-to-multipoint (P2MP) fiber-to-home (FTTH), commercial or roadside (FTTx) applications. It uses a 1577nm CW mode downlink ADP/TIA receiver operating at 10.3125Gb/s, and a 1310nm DFB burst mode uplink transmitter operating at 1.25Gb/s. It is backward compatible with traditional gigabit Ethernet PON systems, including monitoring functions Tx\u burst and Rx\u LOS, in compliance with FDA 21CFR1040.1 and IEC 60825-2. Class I laser safety standards, RoHS standard of EEC Directive 2002/95/EC.
