This article will introduce what is 10G SFP+ DWDM optical module and its advantages in what aspects. Traditional optical fiber communication systems transmit all optical signals in one optical fiber, which only uses part of the optical fiber bandwidth. In order to make full use of the huge bandwidth resources of optical fiber and increase the transmission capacity of optical fiber, a new generation of optical fiber communication technology with dense wave division (DWDM) technology as the core is born. The following is to introduce the models of 10G SFP+ DWDM optical modules.
1, 10G DWDM SFP+ C17-C61 40km(ESDxxX-3LCD40)
It adopts hot-swappable SFP+ package, dual-fiber LC interface, optional fixed wavelength C-band C17-C61 (50/100GHz interval), equipped with EML laser and PIN photodetector, working temperature range of commercial grade (0℃-70℃) and industrial grade (-40℃-85℃) can be selected. It meets SFP28 MSA and 10G Ethernet standards, has a maximum speed of up to 11.3Gbps, and can transmit up to 40 km via single-mode fiber OS2.
2, 10G DWDM SFP+ C17-C61 80km(ESDxxX-3LED80)
It uses a hot-swappable SFP+ package, dual fiber LC interface, optional fixed wavelength C-band C17-C61 (50/100GHz interval), equipped with EML laser and PIN photodetector, it meets SFP28 MSA and 10G Ethernet standards, the highest speed up to 11.3Gbps, The OS2 can transmit up to 80 km through single-mode optical fiber.
3, 10G adjustable DWDM SFP+ 80km
The module supports rates from 9.95Gbps to 11.3Gbps, and supports adjustable, 100GHz intervals throughout the C-band. The module complies with the "Enhanced Small pluggable Module SFP+" SFF-8431 version 4.1 standard. The SFP+ module with adjustable wavelength has built-in PIN or APD, amplitude limiting or linear electrical interface. The difference between DWDM with adjustable wavelength and ordinary DWDM optical module is that the band of ordinary optical module is fixed, while the adjustable wavelength is adaptive between 1528.77nm and 1563.86nm.
In the network expansion and development, without the optical cable transformation, only need to replace the optical transmitter and optical receiver can be realized, is an ideal expansion means, is also a convenient means to introduce broadband services, and the use of an additional wavelength can be introduced into any want of new services or new capacity. In addition, the DWDM system is compatible with future all-optical networks, and it may be possible to achieve transparent and highly survivable all-optical networks on top of existing DWDM systems in the future.
