The dual fiber Optical module has two ports, TX is the transmitting port and RX is the receiving port. A fiber optic cable is required for both transmission and reception.

Wavelengths commonly used in dual fiber Optical module

Low speed: 850nm; 1310nm; 1550nm

10G Optical module: 850nm; 1310nm; 1550nm

Advantages of single fiber BIDI Optical module: single fiber bidirectional Optical module is more expensive, but it saves optical fiber resources and only requires one optical fiber. For users with insufficient fiber resources, it is a better choice.

Advantages of dual fiber Optical module: the two end modules do not need to be paired, and any two can be connected. The price is cheaper than single fiber BIDI Optical module. However, it is necessary to use one more fiber. If the fiber resources are sufficient, you can choose a double fiber Optical module.
