The 5G carrying network is the most basic network connection between the 5G wireless access network and the core network. The optical fiber module is the basic component of the 5G carrier network. In recent years, with the improvement of communication speed, the proportion of light modules in system equipment has continued to increase, which has become the key to 5G low cost and large coverage. Compared with 4G, 5G has higher requirements for speed, transmission distance, working environment and fiber cost.

The 5G carrying network is generally divided into urban access layers, urban agglomeration layers, and urban core/provincial trunk lines to achieve prequel and middle -pass functions of 5G business.

Under the prequel 5G network conditions, the 25GB/S speed module is mainly SFP28, while the two -way fiber two -way, single fiber two -way, 25GWDM and other schemes can save costs.

PAM4 technology uses 25G optical devices to double the bandwidth of the optical devices in the intermediate transmission network; the distance between 10km and 40km will cover most of the application scenarios, and the transmission distance of more than 80km will use related technologies.

The typical 5G prequel application scenarios include direct fiber -fiber -linked, passive WDM, and active WDM. Generally, the optical fiber direct scene uses a 25GB/s optical module, which supports two -way two -way and single fiber two -way. The main transmission distance is 300m and 10km. The passive WDM field to point, using one pair or a fiber, requires 10GB/s or 25GB/s optical module. Active WDM scenarios usually require 10GB/s or 25GB/s optical modules. In special cases, you need to use double -fiber two -way or single fiber two -way light module with N × 102550100GB/s.

The application scenario for the typical requirements of the 5G prequel of the optical module is as follows:

(1) Meet the requirements of industrial temperature and high reliability: The outdoor working environment requirements are very high, and the module needs to meet the temperature range and dust from -40 ℃ ~+85 ℃.

② Low cost: The demand for 5G light modules is greater than 4G, especially the demand for pre -light modules may be higher, and low cost is one of the main demand for optical modules in the 5G industry. In 5G, the composite light modules such as urban access layers, aggregates, and core layers are not much different from the current light module of the data center. S and other light modules, while the aggregation layer is more than 100GB/S, 200GB/S, 400GB/S and other light modules.
